Our client is a global and leading manufacturer/supplier of machinery for the process industry. The company, which has a strong focus on expansion and development, has a turnover of some 250MSEK. We are now looking for a person experienced in sales and marketing, who is prepared to assume a key role and be a part of the company’s future development journey. The position is located in Southern Sweden.
As Global Sales & Marketing Director, you will have both strategic and operational responsibilities, including the authority to drive and develop the company’s global marketing and sales activities, as well as responsibility for the sales and marketing team. The purpose of this position is to ensure that the commercial market strategy is in line with and fulfils the company’s financial goals.
Based on the company’s well-documented and value-creating technical solutions, you are expected to be able to contribute to future growth by establishing a presence in new markets. You will also be expected to contribute to strengthening and developing the business culture, the marketing and sales team – and the sales process, which is presently entirely focused on project sales. You will be leading and inspiring the sales and marketing team, reporting to the CEO. The position also involves international travel.
To become successful in this position, it is important that you are driven and effective in your work to develop business operations, the sales and marketing organization, and relationships. The person we are looking for must have documented experience of international B2B marketing and project sales, as well as proven leadership ability. The position requires that you have pronounced business expertise combined with a broad technical interest and knowhow. In addition, you have good social skills and know how to inspire confidence in your interactions with customers, suppliers and staff. You have a strong personal drive and you are good at creating and maintaining a holistic business approach based on structure and dynamic development processes.
As a market- and sales-oriented person, you have a results- and customer-oriented approach, great commitment and a well-advised overall perspective. You are a goal-oriented and business-driven leader, not prestige-minded, and you have a down-to-earth approach. You are good at engaging and motivating people in order to achieve the best possible results. You have a relevant university education, or other equivalent educational background, combined with required and relevant work experience.
